The Final Grade Calculator helps you figure out what score you need on your final exam to reach your desired grade in a course. It’s simple to use and works with any grading system.
Step 1: Enter Your Current Grade
Type in the grade you’re currently earning in the course. This is usually the average of all assignments, quizzes, and tests you’ve completed so far.
Step 2: Set Your Desired Grade
Enter the grade you want to achieve overall in the course (for example, 90% for an A).
Step 3: Add the Final Exam Weight
Enter how much your final exam is worth. For example, if your final counts for 40% of your total grade, type “40.”
Step 4: Calculate
Click the “Calculate” button. The tool will instantly show you the minimum score you need on your final exam to reach your target grade.

Result: You need 95.33% on the final exam to reach a 90% in the course. (This tells you that it will be a tough one! You’ll need to aim for near-perfect, so get studying!).
